"Glitter" by Tyler the Creator, the Music Video

 The music video is finally completed and I am happy with the results of it. Celine and I have done a lot for this assignment. By looking back on the video, there could have been more shots and angles. I saw some things I could've also improved on. For example, more stable surfaces to put filming equipment on so that the video seems to be less shaky. Since this was a larger project, I did expect that there would be some slight difficulties. However, I am satisfied with the results, and I am happy with what Celine and I accomplished. This music video gave me a better idea of how professional music videos are made and the process that accompanies them. It enabled me to discover new strengths and weaknesses to be aware of in the future. This assignment was extremely enjoyable, especially when working with someone hard working.

Our storyboard goes as the following: First Scene- During this scene, we will be focusing on the Starbucks cup for the commercial. In the beginning, there will be a fade in, which will then show an individual in our group’s back. After that, it turns into a tracking shot to a side shot of her studying. The location for this scene is on the senior patio. We believed it would be best to use a popular place used for dining because our commercial includes eating and drinking. Soft, subtle, jazz music will be playing in the background as well. Second Scene- In the next scene, the shot zooms into the individual, who is about to take a sip from her drink. And That's a Wrap!

The filming process took my partner, Celine, and me about a day. The majority of the clips were filmed on December 7th, alongside any retakes. The clips that were shot lined up with the storyboard created to ensure that everything that could be filmed was. However, while filming, there were a few complications that could affect the editing stage of the music video. Additionally, the beach is usually very windy, and I am quite sure some of the sounds of the wind were picked up on the shots, which could pose an issue while editing the clips together. However, it should not be a major issue, since the song will be layered over it. My partner Celine and I are full-time students so there isn't as much spare time as the group would've liked. Fortunately, there was an available time period for the group to go to the beach and film, which was taken full advantage of. Starbucks, start your day off with great taste. | Commercial blog

                                                  This commercial was the first effort within my group. I honestly enjoyed collaborating with my groupmates, it was definitely a learning experience. Some things I learned were that I enjoyed filming and being a camera person rather than acting and being the one filmed. Additionally that I must be realistic when storyboarding. My group and I while storyboarding decided to include a few animations to make the commercial seem more polished and professional. A few issues with this is that no one in the group had any previous experience creating animations, no one knew how to create them.
