Storyboard for my Music Video

Image
First Scene - During this scene, the start of it will open to a point of view shot. It will seem like a person is opening their eyes and blinking as if they have just woken up. The person will be looking straight forward.  Second Scene- In the next scene, the ''person'' observes everything around them. It is still in a point of view shot during this time. The location is at the beach. The beach would be a great location for this video because it is calming and makes you feel relaxed. The person then looks up and down to take in the sights and views slowly. There will be some aesthetic landscape shots here.  Third Scene- This scene starts by transitioning to a tilt. The camera will be towards the bottom and then slowly moves up, focusing on the ''love interest'' that the song seems to be talking about. The ''love interest'' will be looking into the camera. Then there will be a close up shot. The music during this time should be more upb

Planning for my Music Video

The song my group and I will be doing is "Glitter" by Tyler, the Creator. The props that will be used are a phone camera, a tripod, and a visor, or sun protectant of some sort to help the camerawoman see while filming.  The costumes are more of a summer-like, warm day at the beach type of clothing. This would be including tank tops, shorts, sandals, sneakers, long skirts, and lots of warm-tone jewelry. The color of the clothing will be lighter, pastel colors for the tops and the bottoms will be darker, muted colors, like navy blue. The jewelry will be a gold color and will be minimalistic.  The schedule for the group will be the following: 11/12/21: My group and I researched conventions of Alternative R&B. The group also spoke and brainstormed ideas for the CAMS, CLAMPS, sound (the song), and editing for the music video.  11/16/21: Further spoke about the CAMS, CLAMPS, and editing. My group and I plan to begin storyboarding during the next class, as well as have a firm ba

My group and I decided to do the song "Glitter" by Tyler, the Creator. The song's genre is alternative R&B. Conventionally, the general themes of Alternative R&B are as follows: love, masculine and feminine energies, and some sort of conflict or feelings to be said. In the music videos of Alternative R&B, there are either darker lighting/settings, such as a city at night, a house party, or lighter settings, such as during a sunset or sunrise, on the beach, or surrounded by nature. The camera usage in these videos usually follows an actor or character around while music is being lip-synced. Alongside this are usually portrayals of the song's message or certain lyrics. An example of this is in musician Steve Lacy's music video for songs "Ryd/Dark Red," the message of "Ryd" is made known with a parked car with a woman sitting inside in front of a laundromat, focusing on Steve Lacy's face. However, more likely than not, both are inc

My Group for the Music Video

Hello! The task at hand this time is to create a music video for a song of our choice. My group and I decided to do "Glitter" by Tyler the Creator. I will elaborate more on the song later on. I will be working with my partner, Celine again. I chose to work with Celine again for a variety of reasons. She is a hard-working, driven individual who will make sure the work will get done correctly. She is extremely motivated and an amazing collaborator. Additionally, I had also worked with her on the last group assignment, the commercial, so I am already familiar with her work ethic. She is a group member that I could legitimately trust to do their part of the assignment, regardless of whether she is in class that day.  As I stated beforehand, my group and I decided to do "Glitter" by Tyler the Creator. My group and I chose to do this song because of the lyrics and production of the actual song. The artist who created the song, Tyler the Creator, collaborated with multiple

Introduction to the Music Video

My name is Megumi and I am taking AICE Media Studies AS level. My time is usually consumed by school, either by doing homework, studying or extracurricular activities. During my free time though, I enjoy reading, writing, listening to music, playing with my cat, Moo, and doing outside activities. Whether it be riding my bike, roller-skating, swimming, or taking a stroll through a park, I always feel refreshed afterward. A little more about me is that I like to garden. During this pandemic, quarantining has allowed me to pursue this passion as a hobby. I grow a variety of edible plants, like basil and tomatoes, and decorative plants, like sunflowers and hibiscus plants. Although at first, I could not keep a plant alive for more than a month, I've managed to keep many plants alive and healthy. I was even able to have a raised garden bed for my plants. My cat, Moo, loves to watch me repot, water, and cut off dead leaves and such. More on the class itself, I chose to take Media Studi
