"Restart! There's a Dog in the Background Again!"

On Tuesday, December 7, my group and I started filming our music video shortly after school. My partner, Celine, and I changed into costumes per the conventions of music videos for the song genre. I wore jeans and a tank top and so did Celine. Although Celine did not appear in any of the shots, she still made a phenomenal effort in the recording of the music video. Celine did bring a tripod to use while filming. This was extremely useful to filming the music video, as it helped to keep the camera angle steady while recording certain angles like a POV shot and panning shots. However, the tripod did produce some difficulties. Celine and I had some trouble trying to maneuver the tripod. Additionally, it was a bit of a struggle to balance it correctly, as the sand on the beach does not have a stable enough surface for it. Fortunately, Celine was able to balance it correctly after packing sand together. After that issue was resolved, my partner and I were able to start filming correctly. My partner and I used the storyboard created to plan out what shots to film at certain parts of the song. For example, the first 15 to 20 seconds of the song are planned out to be an Extreme Wide Shot of the beach. Whilst filming at the beach, Celine and I did encounter some difficulties. The beach, as usual, had many people there. Celine and I had to ensure that there was no one pictured in the shots, as well as ensure there were no other objects in the background of the shots. There were actually many dogs at the beach, which caused a huge issue with having to reshoot multiple shots. Many times when Celine and I rewatched the clips, you could see multiple dogs and their owners running in the background. Celine and I were able to record all, if not most of the clips needed for the music video. I will review the footage, and if anything, Celine and I will have to refilm the necessary shots.
