Layering the music correctly

Continuing editing the music video, there were a few complications as expected. One of these complications was the sound. Since it is a music video, my partner and I used the song, "Glitter" by Tyler the Creator. However, the song itself does include explicit language, so Celine found a clean version online. I used this version and downloaded it to use in the music video. Once I was able to do this, I began to piece all the clips together. I added in the transitions Celine suggested, as well as ones I thought would go well with the video. The issue arose once I realized the video was over the time limit of 1 minute and 15 seconds. I had to cut down on the video, which was almost at 4 minutes. This meant that a lot of the clips specifically mentioned in the storyboard were not able to be in the video. Although this was upsetting and seemed like a huge setback once it occurred, I realized that it wasn't that big of an issue. I realized that Celine and I were trying to fit way too much content into just a minute and 15 seconds. What Celine and I were trying to do was unrealistic, so instead, I did my best to fit the most important clips that would fit into the time constraint. Moving on from this, the audio also began to give me issues while editing. There was some issue with the layering of the audio on iMovie, which made this process very difficult. Celine and I struggled to figure out what was going wrong. The audio itself would not line up with the clips it had to go along with and would just stay stuck on the little area it was in. Although I didn't find out what exactly was causing this, I was able to move the audio icons in a certain way that would allow them to move and go along with whatever clip was necessary. It did take quite a while to resolve this issue. But, after a long 2 hours of editing today, the music video was finally finished!
